International Drive Extension Project

DESCRIPTION: D N B constructed a precast girder bridge over a Bureau of Reclamation canal nearly 140 feet wide and 160 feet long including a soundwall and series of cast-in-place retaining walls. D N B’s cast-in-place structure construction occurred on time and in accordance with the obligations of the contract technical specifications. D N B successfully achieved the client’s quality control and quality assurance goals and measures.
 

The project crossed a vital water conveyance canal regulated by the Bureau of Reclamation. As well, the pre-cast girders were of such a size that a hand off crane operation was required. D N B successfully managed the difficult project coordination with the Bureau of Reclamation’s engineers in Colorado as well as coordinating the delivery of 120 LF Bulb-Tee girders in a multiple day setting operation.
