Blue Oaks Blvd Bridge over Kaseburg Creek

LOCATION: Roseville, CA
DATE: September 2011

DESCRIPTION: Design-Build of a 3 span cast-in-place prestressed slab bridge founded on pile extensions reaching 42 feet in width by 120 feet in length. D N B’s cast-in-place structure construction occurred on time and within the contract in accordance with the contract technical specifications. D N B also successfully achieved the client’s quality control and quality assurance goals and measures.
 

A major challenge on this project was the communication lacking between various agencies involved in quality assurance for this project. Valuable time was lost, due to no fault of D N B, because administrative matters were not appropriately addressed in a timely manner. D N B successfully overcame these obstacles by increasing communication efforts and project planning while encouraging multi-agency participation and involvement.
