RNR Construction Inc. entered the heavy civil construction industry in February of 2007.

Since 2007 we have successfully completed over $125,000,000 in contracts either as a Prime or Subcontractor.  Richard Garner, André Catellier, and Brooke Chappell are the three owners of R N R who perform the day-to-day tasks of estimating, field operations, engineering, and accounting. R N R’s owners have over 60 years of combined experience in the heavy civil industry.

With stable and experienced field personnel located in the Bay Area, Northern California, the Central Coast, and the Central Valley, RNR has the ability to pursue heavy civil construction work throughout the entire state of California.

Rich Garner, CEO/General Manager

With almost twenty five years experience in the California bridge industry, Rich Garner is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Manager of Operations for R N R.  Rich’s oversight of field operations and direction of jobsite personnel provide R N R’s projects with direct management attention.  His focus and dedication to R N R’s success benefits Client’s through his hands-on project approach and direct access to management on each and every contract.  Rich also assists with project estimating and negotiations toward acquisition of new work.

André Catellier, PE/President

 

André Catellier has experience of twenty-five years in nearly all facets of California infrastructure design, construction and especially design-build.  He is R N R’s Chief Estimator and Chief Engineer and as such leads project estimating, acquisition, start up and technical metrics.

Supported by decades of successful design and construction projects, he offers unique angles and comprehensive perspectives to R N R’s projects always striving for quality, safety and savings in time and costs. These have proven especially rewarding for the Owner, project sponsors, designers and construction partners. His expertise in Design-Build allowed R N R to complete many design build projects and R N R remains very competitive in the Public, Private and Design-Build markets of heavy highway and civil construction.

Brooke Chappell, ESQ/Business Manager

As the Business Manager for R N R Construction, Brooke Chappell oversees administrative, legal, accounting, and human resource activity for the company.  Brooke’s experience of almost fifteen years in the construction industry was acquired under some of the bridge industry’s finest and she holds the values and details learned in her career’s past to help propel R N R to the future.

Administrative Assistant

This position requires an organized, self-motivated, high capacity administrative assistant. The position requires attention to detail, time management, strong communication skills both verbal and written, and the ability to multi-task. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook) is required. Familiarity with Adobe is preferred. As a primary point of contact for several positions within the company, the individual must be able to work well with various personalities and have a positive attitude. Consistent attendance and punctuality are required. Must be willing to take instruction, feedback and input from various departments in a professional manner. Experience in a construction office is preferred, but not required. The position is full time, Monday through Friday. Compensation based on experience, and full benefits are provided including profit sharing participation.

Drafting & Project Engineer

Project engineer with 1 to 5 years of experience or recently graduated for a drafting and project engineer position. Bridge design experience is preferred, but not required.

The candidate must have an engineering degree and either be registered or can be registered after proper work experience. Must be proficient in AutoCAD and be able to perform technical drawings for the construction of bridges, freeways and structural concrete systems including on-site survey functions. The position will also involve project management consisting of technical analysis, submittals and technical documentation and correspondence. Travel will be required and presence for on site construction will be required, including presence for survey, soil analysis, structural inspection and construction support. The position will also include participation in estimating and strategic cost analysis of projects bidding and negotiated.

The candidate will work under a registered engineer, drafting designs, designing and producing detailed construction CAD drawings and documents. Design work will include shoring, concrete formwork, and falsework with detailed structural analysis followed by support of the construction of the plans and on site engineering.

Experience or course work with emphasis on structural analysis for reinforced and prestressed concrete, timber and steel with proven CAD produced plans is required.  Knowledge and abilities with survey is necessary.

Additionally, both strong written and verbal communication skills are required.  The candidate must be self-motivated and eager to undertake engineering and technical work in civil construction.

Compensation provided commensurate with experience, with all benefits paid and profit sharing opportunities available.  Candidates should submit resumes and transcripts and have a portfolio of AutoCAD experience available if requested.
